AAMC/HHMI Committee Defines Scientific Competencies for Future Physicians
A new report, "Scientific Foundations for Future Physicians," recommends that the science component of medical and premedical education evolve from a static listing of courses to a more dynamic set of competencies. The report was issued by an expert committee convened by the AAMC and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI). (June 4, 2009)
